Where does our wastewater get treated?

Wastewater (sanitary sewer) services for the Inverness community are provided through the Lone Tree Creek Water Reclamation Facility. Located adjacent to the Cherry Creek Reservoir, the Facility helps protect the Reservoir’s water quality for swimming, boating, fishing and other recreational activities. In order to meet one of the most stringent phosphorous discharge limits in the country, the Facility’s design incorporates a unique Advanced Water Treatment at the end of the wastewater’s purification process. The facility helps conserve our water resources and has integrated a reclaimed water program, which allows the re-use of our treated water by trading it for water diverted at our wells upstream on Cherry Creek.
